Tara Busch (also known as I Speak Machine) is known for her vocally driven orchestral electronica, her "heavy yet etherial" remixes and her affinity for analogue and virtual synths. In early 2009, Tara released her debut album on Tummy Touch records, Pilfershire Lane. Together with her creative partner, designer and filmmaker Maf Lewis, they released the album as a limited edition box set which sold out online in 48 hours. She has also created several official remixes for artists such as Annie Lennox, Bat For Lashes, Polly Scattergood, iamamiwhoami and John Foxx. Tara recently recreated a score for live performance for the Academy Award-winning short film, "The Red Balloon", which was performed at the Tramlines Festival in Sheffield and MoogFest 2011. Tara also was commissioned to score and perform live to picture the silent film "Suspense" for the 2011 Bird's Eye View Film Festival at the Southbank Centre with Imogen Heap. Tara's also collaborated with electronic music legend John Foxx and his producer Benge in 2011, creating the song "Where You End And I Begin", and also supported John Foxx on his 2011 UK tour. She most recently collaborated with Metamatic records, covering classic Foxx tracks "My Sex" and "I Want to be a Machine" for the 2013 Exponentialism EP. Currently, Tara is creating the score for the groundbreaking new graphic novel entitled I Speak Machine, a collaboration with Maf Lewis and comic book legend Tommy Lee Edwards. It will also feature guest collaborators Clint Mansell, Gazelle Twin and Cristobal Tapia DeVeer.
